Kukio Estate House

Kona, Hawaii

Set in one of the world’s most exclusive resort destinations on the Kona Coast, this home consists of six separate buildings for a total of 16,000 square feet. An ideal getaway for a music executive and his large extended family, colors of Hawaii appoint the interiors. The mood is relaxed and peaceful. Many of the furnishings were custom designed. Accent pieces came from Polynesia and the Orient. Lighting fixtures were custom designed and crafted by hand in Arcata, Ca. All area rugs of silk and wool were custom designed and hand made in Nepal. Featured stonework throughout the property was imported from Turkey. Kitchen mosaics (underwater grotto scene) were hand made in North Carolina. All cabinetry was custom designed and built in Sonoma, California and Kona, Hawaii.
